Chimacum out to the whole Olympic Peninsula
Our shop is in Chimacum, in the middle of east Jefferson County, so Port Townsend, Port Hadlock, Irondale, Port Ludlow and Marrowstone Island are all a short drive. We also work down Hood Canal to Quilcene and Brinnon, out to Discovery Bay, and over to the Sequim area for the right job.
Peninsula ground is its own thing: heavy winter rain, clay and glacial till that hold water, steep wooded lots and septic setbacks on almost every parcel. That is what we work in every day, and it is why we plan drainage and access before the first bucket goes in.
Who you are hiring
Meet Dusty Larson
Eaglemount Excavation is run by Dusty Larson, with Jessica Larson as co-principal. Dusty answers the phone, walks the site, writes the estimate and runs the equipment. There is no dispatcher and no crew you have never met, and nothing gets passed down to a subcontractor before it reaches your property.
The company is registered on Washington's MRSC small public works roster and the Kitsap County small works roster, which vet contractors for government agency work, and Dusty has donated time and equipment to the Jefferson County Fair Association. [VERIFY: years operating equipment before founding the LLC.]

Questions we get asked
Where does Eaglemount Excavation work?
We are based in Chimacum and work across Jefferson County and the north Olympic Peninsula: Port Townsend, Port Hadlock, Irondale, Port Ludlow, Marrowstone Island, Discovery Bay, Quilcene and Brinnon, and we take jobs in the Sequim area. [VERIFY: confirm the farthest towns you will travel to and whether Kitsap County jobs are wanted.]
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Eaglemount Excavation, LLC holds an active Washington L&I general contractor registration, EAGLEEL755LZ, with a $30,000 contractor bond and $1,000,000 of general liability insurance. You can check the registration yourself on the L&I contractor lookup.
How do I get an estimate?
Call or text (360) 301-1711, or send the short form on this page with the property address and what you need done. Estimates are free and Dusty looks at the site in person before quoting. [VERIFY: typical turnaround for an estimate.]
What size jobs do you take?
Small and medium residential work is the core of what we do: a driveway that needs re-grading, a French drain for a wet yard, a trench for a water line, or full site preparation for a new home. We also work as a subcontractor for local builders. [VERIFY: smallest job you will book, and the largest.]
Do you handle emergencies like slides or washed-out driveways?
Yes, emergency excavation for landslides, flooding and failed culverts is a service we list, and winter storms on the Peninsula keep it busy. [VERIFY: response window and whether you answer after hours and on weekends.]
What does excavation cost in Jefferson County?
It depends on access, soil, how far material has to move and whether a permit is involved, so we quote every job after a site walk. [VERIFY: hourly rate or typical price ranges you are comfortable publishing.]
